Do you recycle our spray cans?
The small gesture that will reduce your ecological footprint.
As consumers, every action counts when it comes to making our daily lives more sustainable. Did you know that you can recycle all Pecol spray cans? It’s good for the environment and very simple! You just need to take a few special precautions.
Check that the cans do not contain any product residue.
Unlike the PECOL Bio Spray range, developed with a biodegradable formula, the composition of most aerosols is highly toxic and harmful to the environment.
First, do a quick test to confirm that the can is completely empty:
- Try using the spray, simulating an application;
- Shake it to make sure there is no liquid left inside.
Want to get rid of a can that isn’t empty yet?
If so, the most eco-friendly solution is to give it to someone who wants to use or store it until they find a new use for it.
Protect yourself by keeping the can in ideal conditions.
Aerosol cans carry a risk of explosion, especially when exposed to heat, as the products are highly flammable and the container works on the basis of pressurization.
Therefore, for your safety, you should never try to puncture it, even when empty.
Just find your nearest yellow recycling bin.
Sociedade Ponto Verde, a specialist in packaging waste management, indicates that aerosol cans, at the end of their useful life, should be placed in the yellow recycling bin.
From the plastic cap to the aluminum can, contributing to a sustainable end for your sprays does not require much effort. But it certainly makes a difference!
